After the Storm

A few lines as I reminisce with a heart filled with gladness
after a stormy unsettled week.


At rainbows end
the sun shone again
bringing warmth and love!

Doves of Peace appeared
A time this day to give
to share during our exploration of God's
great outdoors.

By the sea, where we danced together
at the water's edge, watching
as the waves also danced
their aqua and white lacy skirts lapping gracefully
on the shore!

Traversing country roads and soaring high
as with wings of Eagles
reaching high, briefly resting,
to gaze down through the deep valleys below.

The wonder of nature, Our Australian bushland,
The strength and grace witnessed of the grey kangaroo's
as they jumped fences at roadside verges as we passed them by!

The flight overhead of colourful Parrots
and the tuneful song
as we drove along
of the Magpies.

My heart, sang along with the Nightingale,
giving unconditional love to the man by by side
and to our constant companion throughout our journey
the Creator of our universe!. AMJB
